Having just arrived in Fort Collins and not knowing a soul I climbed the steps to Harmony preschool in October 2007 hopeful that I had found a warm and caring environment for my son to learn in; little did I know what a gem I had discovered. From that first day until we sadly left to move to Europe, we were thankful to have become part of the Harmony School family. The friendly and caring teachers and staff made us feel welcomed and special throughout our two years there. The children are not only introduced to the basics to prepare them for kindergarten, they are also given opportunities to broaden their social skills and to learn to work and play together in an ever changing world. One cannot "learn" compassion but it was often seen in the teachers at Harmony School. The teachers and staff were always quick to recognize special situations that may be of concern to the children and/or parents. Having a few trials of our own, we saw first hand how both my son's teachers and the staff were thoughtful to our particular situation. This extra kindness was seen often and appreciated. It is my one regret that my younger child will not be able to attend Harmony School as we are now living overseas. My son emerged from Harmony School more confidant, his interests broadened and with many fond memories.
